Marketing During a Pandemic

Marketing During a Pandemic

Let’s face facts, business marketing during a pandemic is never going to be easy. Yet during these difficult times, it’s important that we continue putting our companies in front of prospective customers.

That’s why we thought we’d share this insightful article with you, “Pitching Through The Pandemic: Top Experts Share Marketing And Communications Dos And Don’ts,” by Micah Solomon for Forbes Magazine.

Micah is a best-selling author, consultant and keynote speaker specializing in customer service, company culture, and customer experience. He sat down with three communications experts to discuss how companies should be handling their messaging during the current environment and offer some examples of companies who have done so successfully.

  • Yaniv Masjedi, CMO of business communications company Nextiva, the fastest-growing software company in Arizona.
  • Cari Sommer, CEO of RAISE Communications, who specialize in strategy, thought leadership, content and PR for high-growth venture-backed tech companies.
  • Ann Noder, CEO of Pitch Public Relations. They specializes in national media for consumer and B2B companies including startups and major brands.
Yaniv Masjedi said:

“The headline here needs to be, “be customer focused, not company focused.” No matter how proud you are of the latest iteration of your software. For example, consumers right now need to know that you’re seeing the world through their viewpoint and only marketing to them in ways that are truly helpful to them. Not based on some predetermined, internally developed, marketing schedule.”

With companies across all sectors facing a very different reality in 2020, it’s important to understand how your business can pivot and roll with the pandemic punch.
